The World To Me

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you’ve got nothing to wear.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you can’t go out with that hair.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

this dinner needs seasoning dear.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

haven’t you had enough beer?

I’ve never claimed to knowing your aim

or when you draw your bow what you see.

I don’t understand what you mean,

but you mean the world to me.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you don’t feel pretty tonight.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

if you keep going left, you’re alright.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you prefer mysteries furled.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you’re the luckiest girl in the world.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

can’t mix colours with whites.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

you can’t find none of your tights.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

where there’s fire, there’s smoke.

I don’t know what you mean when you say

laughter’s the butt of the joke.
